Steel Banglez

Born on 5 February 1987 in Forest Gate, London, Pahuldip Singh Sandhu, aka Steel Banglez, is an English hip-hop and grime producer, DJ and rapper who began producing as a teenager. In 2005 he was jailed on arms offences and spent four years behind bars but he continued to play while in prison and turned to rap. After his release, he produced recordings with various acts and the single "Bad" with MoStack, Yungen, Mr Eazi and Not3s went to number 29 on the UK Singles Chart in 2017. He followed with "Your Lovin'' (2018) featuring MØ and Yxng and "Hot Steppa" (2018) featuring Loski. In 2018 he won Best Non-Traditional Asian Act at the Brit Asia TV Music Awards (BAMA) and again in 2019. In March 2019, "Fashion Week" featuring AJ Tracey and MoStack topped the Official Trending Chart Top 20 and went to number seven on the UK Singles Chart. He charted in the UK Top 20 again that year with "47" (going to number 17), created with Sidhu Moose Wala & MIST featuring Stefflon Don. Continuing to build a reputation for top-tier collaborations, in 2021 he joined forces with Giggs for "Banglez Ting" and "Tell Me," featuring Clean Bandit, Wes Nelson, Stefflon Don and Unknown T. Both singles were contained on his debut full-length album The Playlist, which was released in 2023 and went to number 29 on the UK Albums Chart. 2023 saw the release of another cut from The Playlist, "Mera Na," featuring Sidhu Moose Wala and Burna Boy.
