Tal

French pop singer Tal Benizri is of Israeli origin, having been born in Haderah, Israel in 1989, shortly before her parents emigrated to France the following year. Her family has strong musical connections: her father was a guitarist, her mother a professional singer, her brother a songwriter and her aunt and cousin are also singers. Tal studied dance, piano and guitar from an early age and so it was perhaps inevitable she would eventually enter the performing arts. As a teenager she began playing in piano bars and acting with a local theatre group. During this time, she met the songwriter and producer L'Aura Marciano and between them they created Tal's debut album 'Le droit de rêver' (2011). It was an impressive first album and eventually reached number four in the French album charts, earning it a triple platinum accreditation. The next two albums performed similarly well but it was her 2018 release 'Juste un rêve' which earned Tal her best chart performance when it reached number two.
