TeenAngels

TeenAngels is the name of a popular Argentine pop band formed in 2007 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The group was formed as a result of the teenage soap opera Casi Angeles. The show followed the lives of a group of teenagers who formed a band called "Teen Angels" and had special powers. The band was composed of members Lali Espósito, Nicolás Riera, Gastón Dalmau, Peter Lanzani, and China Suárez (who would be replaced by Rocío Igarzábal in 2011). The group’s first album, TeenAngels I, was released in 2007. TeenAngels I was a teen pop album with lyrics that were closely related to events and themes from the TV show. The group played various live shows and toured extensively, gathering a massive following throughout Argentina. They went on to release albums such as TeenAngels II (2008) and TeenAngels III (2009), the latter of which contained the power ballad “Vuelvo a Casa,” one of the group’s most beloved songs. The TV show Casi Angeles had its final season in 2010, but the group continued touring and recording beyond its existence. The group released Teen Angels IV in 2010, TeenAngels V in 2011, and TeenAngels: La Despedida in 2012. The final album was conceptualized and billed as a farewell release.
