Terrian

Terrian is a contemporary Christian artist, celebrated equally for her solo career — including Top 40 hits like "God With Us," "In The Arms," and "Light It Up" — as well as her role in TobyMac's band, Diverse City. She was born as "Terrian Bass Woods" on September 3, 1996, in Memphis, Tennessee. Growing up, she became a fan of artists like MaryMary, Kirk Franklin, and Hillsong United, developing a lifelong passion for gospel, worship music, and CCM. Terrian joined TobyMac's Diverse City in 2017 and remained on the road with TobyMac for two years, touring with the artist on his "Hits Deep" tour. She also signed with Mac's label, Gotee, and launched a solo career with 2019's "God With Us." The single reached number 50 on Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart and number 36 on Christian Airplay. Her follow-up hit, "In the Arms," was also a success, reaching number 31 on Hot Christian Songs, number 20 on Christian Airplay, and number 27 on Christian Adult Contemporary. She continued performing with TobyMac, too, appearing on his popular version of "All I Need For Christmas" — a holiday hit that reached number 8 on the Christian Adult Contemporary chart, while also reaching the Top 40 on the Christian Airplay and Hot Christian Songs formats — in 2019. One year later, she scored additional hits with two additional collaborations: "Only U," which she recorded with Aaron Cole, and "Hope Is Here (Do Not Fear)," featuring Building 429. The momentum carried Terrian into the release of her debut EP, 2021's Genesis of Terrian, which earned her another hit on the Christian Airplay chart with "Light It Up." "Big God" reached number 25 on the Top 50 Christian Songs chart in 2023, and "Honestly, We Just Need Jesus" hit number 27 on the same chart one year later.
