The Magician

The Magician is the stage name of Belgian DJ Stephen Fasano whose name is derived from the magic tricks he often uses to provide added dimension to his performances. He was born in Namur, Wallonia and began his career in 2007 as musical partner to Vito de Luca in the band Aeroplane. In 2010 he split with de Luca in order to promote his solo career and signed a deal with the French label Kitsuné, releasing his debut EP 'Twist' the following year. The EP was a collaboration between Fasano and Pierre-Alexandre Busson, a French electronic music producer better known as Yuksek. After two further collaborations with Busson, 'Memory' in 2012 and 'On My Brain' in 2013, Fusano released 'Sunlight' in 2014 and achieved his first notable chart success. The track featured British synth-pop band Years and Years and went to number seven in Belgium and made the top three in the UK Dance chart. 'Sunlight' has been Fasano's most successful single to date with his only other top 20 chart entry being 'Together' which he released in 2015.
