Tim Berg

Using the name Avicii (taken from a Buddhist word for hell) for his MySpace page, Tim Berg first made his mark as an 18-year-old remixing the theme song of Commodore 64 video game Lazy Jones. Re-titled as Lazy Lace, it became his first single, though his first big track was Manman. This was released on Pete Tong's Bedroom Bedlam label after Berg had achieved 70% of the vote to win Tong's Fast Trax competition. Developing a DJ/production style Berg describes as "melodic big room house", he started using the name Tim Berg for his more experimental, underground club work. His international breakthrough came in with the track Bromance - the summer anthem of 2010. After relelasing a bootleg sampling South London singer Amanda Wilson's The Love U Seek, Berg re-made it as a vocal track with Amanda Wilson herself and the track became a hit all over Europe under the title Seek Bromance. Other notable Berg tracks include Alcoholic, Tweet It and My Feelings For You, while he has also worked on dance music projects with DJ Tiesto and Sebastian Ingrosso. In 2011 he was setting the clubs alive again with a big new track Street Dancer.
