Tyler Shaw

Tyler Shaw is a platinum-selling, chart-topping pop singer from Richmond, British Columbia, where the Canadian musician was born on April 8, 1993. Shaw launched his career by participating in the Coca-Cola MuchMusic Covers Contest, which he won in 2012. "Kiss Goodnight," his debut single, was released during the final stretch of that year, eventually peaking at number 24 on the Canadian Hot 100 and earning platinum status. A follow-up single, "By My Side," reached the Top 40 one year later. Both songs appeared on Shaw's debut album, Yesterday, which made its long-awaited appearance in 2015 and featured two additional gold-selling hits: "House of Cards" and "Wicked." Shaw joined Selena Gomez on the pop star's "Revival World Tour" that same year and released his sophomore album, Intuition, in 2018. The album featured the platinum-selling hit singles "To the Man Who Let Her Go" and "With You," both of which reached number 7 on the Canadian Hot AC chart. Despite this success, Shaw's first Number 1 hit didn't arrive until 2022, when his cover of the Donnie Hathaway holiday hit "This Christmas" climbed to the top of the Canada Adult Contemporary chart. He returned to Number 1 in late 2023 with another holiday staple — a cover of the Tom Petty song "Christmas All Over Again" — and reached number 15 on the Canada Adult Contemporary chart with an original song, "Back To Me," in early 2024.
