Vanessa Mai

Vanessa Mai – born Vanessa Mandekić on May 2, 1992, in Backnang, Germany - is a pop singer and dancer known for her bright personality and a style influenced by electronic and dance music. She sang with her Croatian musician father as a child and performed with a dance troupe called Getting Craz'd in a hip-hop competition in Las Vegas as a teenager. Her recording career began in 2012 when she joined pop trio Wolkenfri, which also featured Marc Fischer and Stefan Kinski. After two album, Fischer and Kinski left the trio in 2015, and Vanessa Mai went solo. She released Fur Dich (2015), her debut solo album, which climbed to the Number 4 position on Billboard's German Albums chart. She followed that with the albums Regenbogen (2017) and Schlager (2018), both of which topped the chart. The album Für immer was released in 2020, followed by 2021’s Mai Tai. In late 2021, Vanessa Mai collaborated with German rapper Sido on the hit single “Happy End”.
