Witt Lowry

Witt Lowry is the stage name of American singer-songwriter and rapper Mark Lawrence Richard Jr., who began releasing music independently in the 2010s. Born on February 28, 1991, in South Windsor, Connecticut, he started singing in 2011 after becoming disenchanted with his career as a graphic designer. Headphone Hero, his studio debut, saw the light in 2012 and was followed by the free mixtape Kindest Regards in 2013. That year, he also delivered his sophomore effort, Dreaming with Our Eyes Open. Released in 2017, his third full-length I Could Not Plan This featured guest appearances by MAX, GJan, and Dia Frampton, among others. In 2018, he collaborated with dance-pop singer Ava Max on the single "Into Your Arms," which eventually went viral and obtained double-platinum certification in the United States. Over the next few years, the rapper continued honing his craft on the albums Nevers Road (2019), his first album to be released in physical format, and If You Don't Like the Story Write Your Own, which appeared in 2022.
