XXXTentacion

Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, who performed under the name XXXTentacion, was a Florida-born rapper who put out two hit albums and several hit singles in a violence-ridden career that ended when he was shot and killed at the age of 20. He learned to play music as a child despite a troubled school life, and released his first single 'News/Flock' while serving time in juvenile detention. Domestic and criminal misbehaviour marked his short life but he garnered praise for his blend of hip-hop, rock and R&B. He had 17 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 including 'Sad!' (2018), which topped the chart and also went to number one on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart. His 2017 album '17' went to number two on the Billboard 200 and Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Independent Albums charts and number 12 on the UK Albums Chart. His 2018 release '?' also reached number two on the 200 and the Hip-Hop and Independent charts and peaked at number three in the UK. He was facing trial on charges of aggravated battery when he was killed in 2018.
