In the early 2010s, she was discovered during a radio contest. The EP Tamba in 2011 was followed a year later by her debut album Babyblues. Y'akoto succeeded in reaching number 20 in the German charts. Well-known artists such as Max Herre, Samon Kawamura and Roberto di Gioia contributed to the album. The single "Without You" develops into a minor hit. The artist subsequently played the opening act for Clueso. Her second album, Moody Blues, follows in 2014.
