2WEI

2WEI is a German songwriting duo mostly known for their extensive work with film trailers. Composed of musicians Christian Vorländer and Simon Heeger, the pair met in college and went separate ways before reuniting in 2016. Before creating 2WEI, Vorländer worked with film composer Hans Zimmer in Los Angeles, while Heeger offered his talents to advertising agencies like Mophonics and Yessian. In the following years, they licensed their tracks for several high-profile Hollywood trailers such as Wonder Woman (“Catapult”), Tomb Raider (“Survivor”), and Hellboy (“Smoke On The Water”), and won a Golden Lion in Cannes for their collaboration with German brand EDEKA. Most of their film work can be found in the compilations Escape Velocity (2017), Sequels (2018), and Emergence (2020), featuring fellow film composer Ali Christenhusz. Apart from their work in advertising and film, they’ve made an incursion into video game music with “Warriors,” a collaborative track with singer Edda Hayes that was featured on the 2020 season of Riot Games’ League of Legends.
