Antytila

Antytila is a Ukrainian pop-rock band formed in Kyiv (Ukraine) in 2007 by its frontman Taras Topolya. In 2008, the band released its debut album «Будувуду» (‘Buduvudu’) and had been named The Debut of the Year. The song of the same name - ‘Buduvudu’ - got into radio and TV rotation, and Antytila received Grand Prix of the Ukrainian music festival Pearls of the Season-2008. In the fall of 2011, the band released their second album «Вибирай» (‘Choose’); two years later Antytila presented the music video «Як ангели» (‘Like Angels’), and their third album «Над полюсами» (‘Over the Poles’). One of the most significant albums in Antytila’s discography is Hello. Released in 2019, it adds synth and orchestral touches to a pop-rock sound. The tracks ‘TDME’, «Лови момент» (‘Catch The Moment’), and «Вірила» (‘She Believed’) became huge hits in Ukraine. Antytila performed at the biggest music festivals, such as Sziget (Hungary) and SXSW (USA). In 2022, the band featured in Ed Sheeran’s song ‘2Steps’ performing its part in Ukrainian. The same year, Taras Topolya joined Bono (U2) during his impromptu gig in Kyiv metro, together they performed ‘Stay by Me’.
