Arko

Born on May 19, 1984 in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, Arko Pravo Mukherjee is known professionally as Arko, an Indian composer and singer-songwriter who has been involved in the Bollywood film industry since 2012. After relocating to Mumbai in 2008, Arko made his debut as a music composer in the 2012 Indian erotic thriller, Jism 2, crafting four songs for the soundtrack. His next composing gig came two years later, creating music for the Indian Hindi-language coming-of-age romance film, Yaariyan, for which he earned a nomination for Filmfare Award for Best Music Director along with Pritam, Mithoon, Yo Yo Honey Singh and Anupam Amod. Over the years, he has poured his talents into a wide range of compositions across multiple genres and languages for film, including 2018's Telugu-language action/romantic comedy film Lover, 2019's Hindi-language war film, Kesari, 2019 Bengali-language action drama Shesh Theke Shuru. Starting out in 2016, he has also turned his hand to playback singing, putting his voice to "Saathi Re" for Hindi-language family comedy-drama film Kapoor & Sons, as well as non-playback singing like 2017's "Reeva" – which went to Number 49 on the Billboard Dance 50 Charts – 2020's "Suno Na" with Neeti Mohan. In 2021, he worked on two Hindi-language films: war film Bhuj: The Pride of India and vigilante action film Satyameva Jayate 2.
