Benny Ibarra

Benny Ibarra de Llano is a renowned Mexican musician, singer, producer, composer, and actor. He was born on September 8, 1970, in Mexico City. He hails from a family with deep ties to the entertainment industry, with both his parents carving careers in acting and music. Ibarra de Llano received formal education in voice, guitar, classical music, composition, and musical theater during his college years. In 1981, he kickstarted his music career as a member of the celebrated group Timbiriche. Although he exited the band in 1985, he returned intermittently for tours and album production. Benny Ibarra de Llano embarked on his solo journey in 1992 with his debut album, Háblame Como la Lluvia, which featured popular singles "Dame un Poco de Tu Amor" and "Tonto Corazón." Successive albums such as El Tiempo (1994), Om (1996), and Todo o Nada (2001) further cemented his status in the Mexican music scene. He catered to the US market in 2003 with Cielo, a compilation of hits, succeeded by Llueve Luz in 2004, Así in 2005, and La Marcha de la Vida in 2012. His discography also comprises numerous successful compilations and live albums. Benny Ibarra de Llano, Sasha Sökol, and Erik Rubín founded the band Sasha, Benny y Erik in 2012, releasing four albums, including Primera Fila: Sasha, Benny y Erik, before their split in 2016. Parallel to his musical pursuits, Benny Ibarra has acted in several films, including Ciudad de Ciegos (1991) and Un Padre No Tan Padre (2016), and has produced for an array of artists and albums.
