Boku no Lyric no Bōyomi

Boku No Lyric No Bouyomi is a rapper, vocalist and lyricist who was born in Yokohama, Japan in 1998. He started his musical career recording cover versions of songs and uploading them to the Nico Nico Douga site in the Utattemita category under the name Shigaisen. His big break came in 2014 when he was in the second year of high school. He entered 'Senkou Riot', one of Japan's biggest talent shows for singers, and he made it to the final. At 17-years-old he was noticed by a producer at radio station Tokyo FM. He got his new stage name because he thought that when he rapped his voice took on a monotone quality. He released his debut album 'Hollow World' through the Connectone label in 2015. His second album 'Noah's Ark' came out in 2017 and included a collaboration with Latin jazz producer Nicola Conte. In September 2018 he announced his retirement from the music industry with final album 'Botsuraku' and compilation album 'Ningen' released in December of that year.
