B-PROJECT

B-Project is a Japanese virtual Pop group created in 2015 by multimedia company Mages, Inc. that initially earned its reputation developing video games and releasing soundtracks to video games and anime series. B-Project was their way to create a virtual musical group and incorporate them into many media platforms including video games, anime, manga, CDs, live stage productions, and collectable merchandise. Much like a K-Pop group, B-Project is made up of four different Japanese pop sub-unit groups – MooNs, Kitakore, THRIVE, and KILLER KiNG - that operate separately as well as coming together as a full group. The first single by B-Project, “Eikyuu Paradise,” was released in 2015, followed closely by singles and EPs by each of the four different sub-units of the main group. The anime series debuted in 2016 while the debut album under the name B-Project – Kodō * Anbishasu (Heartbeat * Ambitious)– was released the same year. The first season of B-Project’s first series ended in September of 2016, but it was immediately followed by a manga (graphic novel) series and then a video game in 2017. The second season of B-Project’s anime series ran from January to March of 2019. All the while, each of the sub-units released more singles and EP while B-Project issued the album S-Kyuu Paradise in 2017. The next B-Project album, B with U, was issued in 2021 and was followed by the 2022 single “Wizard of Fairytale.”
