Bugzy Malone

Aaron Davis (December 20, 1990), aka Bugzy Malone, is an English grime rapper who has had four releases on the UK Albums Chart since he released his first EP Walk With Me in 2015. Born into a poor family in Manchester, he had a troubled childhood that included a term in prison before he took up first boxing and then music. He released his first mixtape SwaggaMan in 2010, performed locally, and made more mixtapes until releasing his first EP, which went to Number 8 on the UK Chart. Subsequent EPs Facing Time (2016) reached Number 6 and King of the North (2017) Number 4, obtaining silver certification in the process. His 2018 studio debut B. Inspired peaked at Number 6 in the UK. Featuring guest appearances from both grime-adjacent artists and singer-songwriters like JP Cooper and Laura White, the LP elicited praises from critics and garnered comparisons to grime heavyweights like Skepta and Stormzy. Preceded by the charting single “Notorious” with Chip and the Emeli Sandé duet “Welcome to the Hood,” his sophomore effort The Resurrection arrived in May 2021. The title of the album was inspired by a quad-bike accident Bugzy Malone suffered in early 2020.
