CHEEZE

The Korean singer Cheeze was born Im Hye-kyung on August 19, 1991. She first gained notoriety in the rock band Cheeze, where she performed under the name Dalchong. The group formed in 2011, but every other member of the group left by 2016, at which point She took the name of the band as her performing moniker. She began releasing solo material in 2017 and had two hit singles right out of the gate. “Love You (Bye)” went top 10, while the duet “Perhaps Love” with Eric Nam sold more copies that “Love You (Bye)” though it only reached number 14. 2019 saw the release of her first album, Plate, which included the singles “We’re Everywhere” and “Orange”. That same year she became one of the four ladies in CSVC with Stella Jang, Lovey, and Park Moonchi, and the group issued their debut single, “Summer Love…” in August. She released her solo follow-up LP, I Can’t Tell You Everything, in May of 2020, and enjoyed another hit with that album’s second single “Little By Little”.
