Conan Gray

Born on December 21, 1998, in Lemon Grove, California, pop singer, songwriter, and performer Conan Gray first came to prominence as a social media sensation in 2015. Initially focused on pop culture and life in a small town in Texas, where he lived as a teenager, Conan Gray’s YouTube audience embraced his R&B-flavored music performances, encouraging him to pursue music as a career. In March of 2017, he released his debut single, “Idle Town.” With over 14 million streams on social media, Conan Gray’s popularity caught the attention of Republic Records, who immediately signed him. His first EP, Sunset Season, was released in November 2018, eventually reaching number 116 on the Billboard 200 and the number 2 spot on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart. Beginning in March of 2019, he began releasing a series of singles throughout the year (“Maniac,” “Checkmate,” and “Comfort Crowd”) leading up to the release of his full-length debut album, Kid Krow, in 2020. The single “Maniac” became extremely successful internationally as well as in the United States, eventually becoming his first Billboard-charting single and helping to push his debut album to number 5 on the Billboard 200. The album was hailed as one of the biggest debuts by a new pop artist that year and enjoyed considerable critical acclaim. The album also included the viral hit “Heather.” Preceded by the singles “Astronomy,” “People Watching,” “Jigsaw,” “Memories,” and “Yours,” his 2022 sophomore effort Superache reached number 1 in the UK, number 9 in the US, and hit the Top 10 in Australia, Ireland, and the Netherlands. Two years later, his third full length album, Found Heaven (2024), was another international hit, hitting the Top 10 in Australia, Belgium, and the UK, and hit number 14 on the Billboard 200. The album included the singles “Never Ending Song,” “Winner,” “Killing Me,” “Lonely Dancers,” and “Alley Rose.”
