Eefje de Visser

Dutch singer and songwriter Eefje de Visser was born in the historic town of Voorburg on February 8, 1986, and grew up in the South Holland village of Moordrecht. She rose to fame in 2009 after winning the Grote Prijs van Nederland, a long-running national competition for musicians, and unleashed her debut album two years later. De Koek went to number 35 in the Netherlands and was followed by three significant festival appearances in the Netherlands: the Oerol Festival, Lowlands, and the Uitmarkt. A second album arrived in 2013, Het Is, which soared all the way to number three on home soil as well as charting in Belgium. In 2015 she released a new song called "Scheef" on YouTube and her third album Nachtlicht came the following year, which went to number 8 in the Netherlands. In 2020 she released her fourth album Bitterzoet, which was followed by a European tour supporting Balthazar. The album reached number three in the Netherlands.
