Ego Kill Talent

Formed in São Paulo, Brazil in December 2014, Ego Kill Talent is a hard rock band founded by drummer/guitarist Jean Dolabella (formerly of Sepultura) and bassist/guitarist Theo van der Loo. With many multi-instrumentalists in the band, they often change instruments during each live performance. The original line-up included vocalist Jonathan Correa and guitarist Estevam Romera. Each of the band members had previously involved with other Brazilian hard rock and heavy metal bands including Udora, Sepultura, Reação em Cadeia, and Soyowa. This incarnation of the band recorded Ego Kill Talent’s first EP Sublimated in 2015. After the release of the band’s second EP, Still Here, Romera left the band and was replaced by Niper Boaventura. The band also added drummer/guitarist Raphael Miranda to the lineup. They released their self-titled debut album in 2017, which proved to be their breakthrough and introduced the band to a wider audience. Ego Kill Talent then recorded the song “Collision Course” with fellow Brazilian hard rock band Far from Alaska. The band then headed out on tour, playing dates across Europe. Their third EP, My Own Deceiver, was issued in 2017 alongside their next single, an acoustic version of “We All”. The band spent much of 2018 touring and playing live shows with Foo Fighters, Shinedown, Queens of the Stone Age, Within Temptation, and others. In February 2020, the band released their single “Now”, followed two months later by “Lifeporn”. In June, they released the single “The Call” and announced the release of their second album, The Dance Between Extremes.
