Floor Jansen

Floor Jansen, a Dutch singer and songwriter from Goirie, in the southern Netherlands, was born on 21 February 1981 and rose to fame as the frontwoman for Finnish symphonic metal leaders Nightwish, who she joined in 2012. She cut her teeth aged 16 as a member of Apocalypse, renamed After Forever in 1997, and released five albums with the group until forming new outfit ReVamp in 2009. After releasing two albums with ReVamp, she replaced previous Nightwish singer Anette Olzon as the group's lead vocalist and saw her profile reach new heights. She released her first album with Nightwish in 2015, Endless Forms Most Beautiful, and also featured on their seventh consecutive Finnish chart-topper Human. :II: Nature. in 2020 before deciding to pursue a solo career that same year. She introduced herself with her debut solo single "Fire" in March 2022, downing her symphonic metal tools for something more akin to pop. Her second solo single "Storm" followed in May 2022 and her third solo single, "Me Without You," in September 2022. Her fourth solo single "Invincible" preceded the release of debut album Paragon, which saw light in March 2023 and went to number two on the Dutch charts.
