Haze

David Bošnjak, who is better known to the German-speaking rap business as Haze, was born on November 5, 1989 in Villingen-Schwenningen, Baden-Württemberg. His parents, who fled to Germany as war refugees from Croatia, raised Bošnjak in Karlsruhe, where his love of hip-hop was sparked by luminaries such as Dr. Dre and Eminem. From the early 2010s, the artist began to actively work on his musical career and released the premiere mixtape Blues ausm Block in 2012. Another mixtape, Karlsruher Schule (2014), was followed in 2016 by the debut album Guten Abend, Hip Hop ..., which was distributed by Chapter One and immediately entered the German LP charts at number 30. Collaborations with rap heavyweights such as MoTrip ("Gedanken") or Bonez MC and RAF Camora ("Es macht sich bezahlt") give Haze an even greater public reputation. Between self-reflective lyrics, drum computer beats and massive street credibility, Bošnjak is now setting out to successfully position further releases in the local sales lists. This includes Die Zwielicht LP, which was released in 2018 and reached number 3 in Germany and number 7 in Austria. With Brot und Spiele (2020), Haze has now also managed to secure pole position in Austria. The studio album, which is now his third, also achieved a respectable second place in Germany. The MC, who maintains good contact with well-known colleagues such as 187 Strassenbande, Said and Bozza, presents the EP Zwielicht in 2021. The LP TagMond is also released in 2021, which again shines with top 10 positions in Germany and Switzerland.
