Born Steven Jarny on January 3, 1993, Kikesa is a French rapper noted for his beard, Afro, and bandana. Self-dubbed as a 'hippie rapper,' he grew up in the city of Nancy and made his debut with the hip-hop collective MTB Crew in 2013. His first single release was "Negliglé" in 2017, followed by "Oubliez Moi" later that year. In 2018, he released a series of singles and videos every Sunday for 52 weeks under the title of Dimanche de Hippie, the name of his debut mixtape. Preceded by the single "Quand J'Etais Petit'," his first studio effort Puzzle arrived in 2019 via Capitol Music. After signing with Universal Music, Kikesa returned in 2022 with his sophomore album Rubi, which climbed to Number 3 on the French Albums Chart and featured guest appearances by Soprano, Bigflo, and Oli.
