Lucile Richardot

French mezzo-soprano Lucile Richardot (born in Épinal, Vosges, September 17, 1978) discovered her love of singing at the age of 11 when she joined a children’s choir in the East of France, where she grew up. She sang in the choir for six years before she began pursuing a career in journalism, working in the field until she was 27. She then returned to studying music and attended the Conservatoire du Vème arrondissement de Paris, the Maîtrise de Notre-Dame de Paris, and the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris. In 2012, she formed and led her own ensemble, Tictactus. Specializing in both early and contemporary music, she began to perform with a variety of respected conductors including Rachid Safir, Sébastien Daucé, Raphaël Pichon, Vincent Dumestre, and William Christie. Lucile Richardot has performed with many esteemed orchestras and ensembles including the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin and Les Violons du Roy in Québec and Montréal. Lucile Richardot has recorded several albums including Perpetual Night: 17th Century Ayres and Songs (2018), Das Lied Von Der Erde (2020), Stabat Mater/Salve Regina (2021) and Berio to Sing (2021).
