Måns Zelmerlöw

Swedish pop singer Måns Zelmerlöw was born in Lund, Scania, on June 13, 1986. Zelmerlöw became a household name in 2005, when he competed in the Swedish TV show Idols 2005 and finished fifth. Less than a year later, he won the first season of another reality-competition TV show, Let's Dance, and began recording Stand by For…, his debut album. Propelled by the Number 1 single "Cara Mia," Stand by For… debuted at the top of the Swedish charts and quickly went gold. MZW, his second album, also peaked at Number 1 in 2009. Although Zelmerlöw maintained a strong presence on Swedish television by hosting the show Allsång på Skansen from 2011 to 2013, his third album, Barcelona Sessions, failed to produce any hit singles. Things changed considerably in 2015, when "Heroes" — the multi-platinum lead single from his sixth album, Perfectly Damaged — won the Eurovision Song Contest. Zelmerlöw hosted the contest one year later and earned another platinum certification with "Fire in the Rain," a song from his 2016 album Chameleon. Time, his eighth LP, followed in October 2019.
