Nikki Webster

Nicole Marie Webster, known professionally as Nikki Webster, was born on April 30, 1987 in Sydney, Australia, and knew from a young age that she wanted to work in showbiz. After performing in various pantomimes as a child, she set about realising her dream at the McDonald College of Performing Arts in Sydney. A series of well-placed TV commercial and theatre gigs led to a prestigious role as a lead performer at the 2000 Summer Olympics opening ceremony in Sydney and she signed a record deal with BMG shortly after. At the age of just 13, she released her debut single "Strawberry Kisses", which went all the way to number two on the Australian singles charts in 2001 and was nominated for the ARIA Award for Highest Selling Single. She broke a record with her debut album Follow Your Heart, which didn't only go platinum, but also spawned a top 20 ARIA single in "Depend on Me", earning her the accolade as one of the youngest singers to debut at number two. Her second album BLISS arrived in 2002 and ranked number 16 on Australia's ARIA charts, largely thanks to the singles "Something More Beautiful" (number 13) and "24/7 (Crazy 'bout Your Smile)" (number 19). She didn't quite hit the same highs of commercial success with her third album Let's Dance (2004) but the title track did make it into the top 40 in Australia. Following the release of The Best of Nikki Webster that same year (number 84), she slipped away from the spotlight but re-emerged in 2017 to drop an updated version of "Strawberry Kisses" featuring Sam Mac, "Strawberry Kisses 2017", which went to number 97. In 2019 she took part in The Masked Singer Australia as a contestant and the following year released her fourth album, Girls.
