No Rome

No Rome is the alias of Guendoline Rome Viray Gómez (born August 30, 1995), a London-based Filipino musician known for his eclectic mix of dream pop, shoegaze, and electronica. Born and raised in Manila in a music-loving household, Gómez started recording and uploading his own material to SoundCloud at the age of 12. After releasing two EPs independently, Fantasy (2013) and Hurry Home & Rest (2015), Gómez’s work caught the attention of soon-to-be labelmates The 1975, who helped him land a deal with Dirty Hit Records. RIP Indo Hisashi (2018), his first release for the label, featured The 1975 on the hit single “Narcissist,” which accumulated millions of plays on streaming platforms and considerably expanded No Rome’s fanbase. The following year, Gómez opened for The 1975 on their US tour, and even shared the main stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Crying in the Prettiest Places (2019), the highly-anticipated follow-up to Gómez’s Dirty Hit debut, was produced by Matty Healy and was hailed by critics as his most mature work. The EP spawned the single “Cashmoney,” which premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show.
