Paula Arenas

Paula Arenas is a Columbian pop singer with several Latin Grammy Award nominations to her name. Born in Bogotá in 1988, Arenas sought a career in music from an early age. Inspired by Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, Elton John and Billy Joel, as a young girl she took piano lessons and learned to write her own compositions. Arenas's career began in 2011 with the release of her debut self-titled EP, but it was 2016 when she really began gaining momentum. A partnership with producer, pianist and composer Julio Reyes Copello along with her move to Miami helped her to mature as an artist. In May 2016 she supported Alejandro Sanz on his 'Sirope' tour of Columbia and the following year she scooped a nomination for Best New Artist following the release of her EP 'Matices'. 2019 saw the release of album 'Visceral', earning her more nominations in the Album of the Year, Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Song categories.
