Rahma Riad

Rahma Abdulredha Mezher Al-Sibahi, known professionally as Rahma Riad, was born on 19 January 1987 in Iraq and first gained prominence in the Arab world in 2010 after appearing on the televised talent show Star Academy. After reaching the show's finale and laying the groundwork for her future career, she made it official with her first song, "Khlesna", which was recorded in Lebanese Arabic and released in 2014. She continued to add to her discography, striking gold with 2018 release "Waed Menni", written by Ramy Al-Aboudi and composed by Ali Saber, and in January 2021, joined the music contest Iraq Idol on MBC Iraq as a member of the judging panel. That same month, she released the song "Athadakom", written by Aqil Al-Ard, composed by Ali Saber, and distributed by Maitham Alaa El-Din. In July 2021, MBC renewed her contract for an additional season of Iraq Idol, which started in September. In October 2022, she was catapulted into the international spotlight when she was chosen to feature on "Light The Sky", a song for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, collaborating with artists, RedOne, Manal, Balqees and Nora Fatehi.
