Shaun Frank

Shaun Frank is a Canadian DJ, songwriter and vocalist who first rose to fame as the frontman of the rock band Crowned King. He was born in Vancouver in 1982 and after achieving some success with Crowned King he joined The Envy, a rock band managed by Gene Simmons from KISS. Mentored by Simmons, the band toured with KISS in 2010. Due to internal wrangles, The Envy eventually split up and Frank's departure from the band marked a change of direction for the singer who has subsequently directed his energies into writing and producing electronic dance music. In his role as a producer Frank has collaborated with wide and diverse range of international EDM artists including Oliver Heldens, Borgeous, KSHMR, DVBBS. Commercially, his most successful venture has been with the US future bass duo The Chainsmokers with whom he wrote the chart-topping hit 'Closer' which hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed there for 12 weeks.
