Shouta Aoi

Shouta Aoi, born on August 11, 1987, in Fukui Prefecture, Japan, is a Japanese singer and actor. His journey into the entertainment industry began with his debut under the stage name SHOWTA., releasing his first single "Negaiboshi" in 2006. He followed this with his first studio album Eve in 2008. However, in 2009, he left his agency and ventured into independent music under the pseudonym Noboru Ryugaki. Shouta Aoi expanded his artistic horizons by stepping into the world of musical theater in 2009, starring in the musical Fruits Basket. His career took a significant turn in 2011 when he began voice acting, gaining widespread attention for his role as Ai Mikaze in Uta no Prince-sama. This success led to other important roles in anime series like Ace of Diamond and The Royal Tutor. In 2013, Shouta Aoi rebranded himself with his real name and released the EP Blue Bird. The following year, he released the single "Virginal." His first studio album under his own name, Unlimited, was released in 2015 and reached number 7 on the Oricon charts. Shouta Aoi's return to King Records in 2016 was a notable moment, leading to the release of his studio album 0 in 2017. He has also been involved in various endorsements and collaborations, including working with Denon and Sanrio. Shouta Aoi transitioned to working freelance, departing from his management company S. In late 2023, he released the album DETONATOR, which peaked at number 15 on the Japanese Hot 100.
