Wonpil

Kim Won Pil (April 28, 1994) is a South Korean singer-songwriter who jumped to fame as the synth player for the rock band Day6. Born in the city of Incheon, he fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a trainee for JYP Entertainment at the age of 17 and made his debut with Day6 in 2015 with the EP The Day. Like the rest of his bandmates, Wonpil was always heavily involved in the group’s songwriting and production process, contributing material to every single one of Day6’s releases. In addition, he has also penned hits for artists like UP10TION and Jeong Sewoon. During the first few years of their career, Wonpil and the rest of Day6 made waves in the highly competitive K-pop scene with commercially acclaimed titles such as Sunrise (2017), Moonrise (2017), Unlock (2018), and The Book of Us: Entropy (2019), their first Number 1 on the Gaon Albums Chart. In 2020, he was chosen to join Day6's first subunit, Even of Day alongside Young K and Dowoon. Preceded by the single “Voiceless,” Wonpil’s first solo effort Pilmography arrived in early 2022.
