Yesyes

Formed in 2015 by singer and accordionist Ádám Szabó and drummer Tamás Katona, Yesyes is a Hungarian downtempo and drum’n’bass duo. Influenced by the likes of Coldplay, John Newman, and Rudimental, their music blends radio-friendly pop music with genres such as future bass and EDM. They made their debut in 2016 with the EP Pollyanna and followed up with another EP titled Cycle in 2017. The following year, Yesyes participated in Hungary’s A Dal 2018 in order to represent their native country at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon. The pair made it to the finals with the song “I Let You Run Away” but ultimately lost to AWS’ “Viszlát nyár.” They made another attempt in 2019 with their 2018 single “Incomplete,” reaching the semifinals. In subsequent years, the duo stuck to the single format with “Sun Goes Down” (2019), “Darkness” (2020), and “Gyengéden” (2020).
