Review

The enigmatic SWISH was released by notably mischievous dance rockers Joywave with little fanfare in early 2016. It's named after a promoted working title for what ended up being Kanye West's The Life of Pablo, released a month prior. The plainly packaged, ten-track record is actually a single that contains nine copies of "Destruction" from their 2015 debut How Do You Feel Now? -- each with a different title that forms a message -- and one original song, "Life in a Bubble I Blew." Call it irritating or call it delightful, the band has also been known to repeat the same song in live performance until they see the desired amount of dancing. ~ Marcy Donelson
