T.G. Sheppard 13//2006

Review

Originally released in 1978, T.G. showcases Tennessee crooner T.G Sheppard's breezy countrypolitan tunes. With his slickly produced and unabashedly romantic songs (including the smooth "Baby's Getting' Around"), Sheppard rose to popularity in the late '70s and early '80s along with the "urban cowboy" movement (inspired by the hit movie of the same name). For fans of Ronnie Milsap, Glen Campbell, and even late-period Elvis, T.G. will stand out as an underrated gem.
