Andra

Romanian singer Alexandra Irina Mihai is better known by her stage name Andra. She has been singing from a very early age, appearing at the Tip Top Monitop Festival at the age of seven singing a cover version of Whitney Houston's 'I Will Always Love You'. By the time she was 14 she had released her first self-titled album 'Andra' (2001) on the Nova Music Entertainment label. This was followed by second album 'Dragostea Mea' in 2002. In 2004 she released 'Vreau Sarutarea Ta', from which the title single was popular in the Romanian charts. Three more albums followed in 2006 and 2007: 'Ramâi Cu Mine', 'Dragostea Ramâne' and a Christmas album 'Colinde - Vis de Larna'. 2010 saw Andra sign for MediaPro Music Entertainment and release the album 'Iube?te-M? Azi, Iube?te-M? Mâine'. In 2014 she joined forces with Liviu Teodorescu to release the single 'A?a e Dragostea' and Andra gained increasing popularity with the release of several singles in 2016, including 'Why', which reached number eight in the Romanian Singles Chart. Andra featured in the Romanian version of the film 'Kung Fu Panda 3' in 2016 as the voice of the goose. She continued in this line of work in 2017 when she voiced the character Smurfette for the Romanian version of the film animation 'Smurfs: The Lost Village' in 2017. She released two more singles in 2018, 'Indiferen?a' and 'Sudamericana'. She also released the Romanian version of the Descemer Bueno and Enrique Inglesias song 'Nos Fuimos Lejos'. Andra frequently tours and performs in concerts all over the world. In 2019 she took part in the Traditional Festival at the O2 Arena in London which promotes Romanian folk music.
