Ardian Bujupi

Ardian Bujupi rose to fame on the German talent show 'Deutschland Sucht Den Superstar', but he carved out a career as a pop and dance singer-songwriter that lasted far beyond the brief spotlight cast on him by the show. Born in Pristina, Kosovo in 1991, he moved with his family to Germany at a young age and it was there that he began to discover music. It started with his father's keyboard at the age of six, but by ten his repertoire had expanded to include the guitar and drums. Soon after, Bujupi began singing in the school choir and following his first solo performance he got the bug for writing and composing his own songs. In 2011 he entered the eighth series of 'Deutschland Sucht Den Superstar', making it to the final. He didn't win, but his final position of third place and a positive reaction from the audience was enough to merit the release of 'This Is My Time'. It did well, racking up radio plays and social media views and leading on to the singles 'Rise to the Top' and 'I'm Feeling Good'. He went on to tour extensively, first in Germany and Switzerland but later in Kosovo and Albania, where he proved popular. In 2017 he released the album 'Melodia' and in 2018 he followed it up with 'Arigato'.
