Baba Saad

Hip-hop artist and rapper Saad El-Haddad – born on November 26, 1985, in Beirut, Lebanon – is better known by his stage name Saad, although he spent much of his career performing under the name Baba Saad. Born in Lebanon, his family emigrated to Germany in 1994 after his home country’s civil war. In 2004, he connected with Berlin, Germany-based rapper Bushido and appeared on his 2004 album Electro Ghetto. After signing to Bushido’s label, ersguterjunge, and touring together, the duo released the album Carlo Cokxxx Nutten II (2005), which was released under the duo name Sonny Black & Saad. Baba Saad’s first solo album, Das Leben Ist Saad, was released in 2006. Two years later, he released the album Saadcore, which ended up being his last release on Bushido’s label. Baba Saad set up his own label, Halunkenbande, and released a series of albums including Halunka (2011) and Abgelehnt (2012). Due to personal issues, he moved back to Lebanon but returned to Germany in 2013. Shortening his stage name to Saad, he released the albums S Doppel A D (2013), Yayo Tape (2014), Saadcore Reloaded (2015), and Yayo Tape II.
