Bispo

Pedro Bispo (April 12, 1992) is a Portuguese MC that performs under the stage name Bispo. Born in Algueirão–Mem Martins, Bispo became infatuated with rap from a very early age and recorded his first song at the age of 11. He quickly became a lead exponent of the so called “hip hop tuga” and released his debut EP Bispoterapia in 2014. The ever-growing buzz surrounding the young artist culminated in the release of Desde a Origem, Bispo’s proper studio debut, in 2015 to great critical acclaim. Following the release of the EP Fora d’Horas in 2017, Bispo dropped the platinum-selling Top 10 single “Nós2” (2018) and “Essa Saia” (2019) with Ivandro, which reached the top of the Portuguese charts and quickly obtained gold certification. He also landed features on Deejay Telio's "Com Licença" (2019) and "Tempo" with fellow rappers Rex and Lon3r Johny. His third album Mais Antigo finally saw the light in 2020. During 2021, Bispo remained active through a handful of singles that included “Influencer,” “Pedro,” and “Certezas,” a collaborative track with D’ay that peaked at Number 95 in his native Portugal.
