Bizzey

Bizzey (born Leendert Roelandschap on May 11, 1985) is a Dutch rapper and DJ. Roelandschap’s father owned a record store, which inspired a love for music from a young age. He wrote his first rap at 15, inspired by an English summer fling. In 2010, he founded the group Yellow Claw with a couple of his friends. Many of Yellow Claw’s singles made it to the Dutch Top 40, including “Krokobil,” “Nooit meer slapen,” and “Shotgun.” After six years with Yellow Claw, Bizzey departed the group, deciding to focus on his solo career. His single “Traag,” in collaboration with rappers Jozo and Kraantje Pappie, stayed at the top of the charts for 46 consecutive weeks. He was also briefly the manager of Dutch vlogger, model, and singer Famke Louise during 2017, with whom he has also collaborated on several occasions. The following year, he dropped his first album, November, which reached Number 1 in the Album Top 100 in the Netherlands. A couple of months later he collaborated with rapper Boef on the single “Drama,” which reached the top of the singles charts. His achievements were awarded halfway through 2019, when Roelandschap was awarded with the FunX Music Award for Artist of the year.
