Carin León

Mexican regional music artist, Óscar Armando Díaz De León Huez, was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, on July 26, 1989, and is better known as Carín León. He began playing the guitar at the age of fifteen and initially performed with Los Reales before forming Grupo Arranke in 2010, which remained active until 2018, producing four studio albums and two live recordings. León decided to go solo after the success of the group's song, "A Través del Vaso," gained millions of views online. Releasing four live albums in 2018, his first solo studio album, El Malo (2019), featured the popular title track as well as "Me la Avente." His concert tours were temporarily paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but he made a comeback in 2020 with a cover of "Tú," originally sung by Puerto Rican artist Noelia in 1999, which became a hit on various music charts. After the success of Extreme cover "More Than Words” (2021), León’s popularity continued to grow with studio album, Inédito (2021) which featured the popular track "Que Más Puedo Pedir." He also achieved regional success in 2022 with songs like "Que Triste," "La Esquina del Mall" and Shakira cover "Que Vuelvas," a collaboration with Grupo Frontera, which spent six weeks in the Number 1 position on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart. In the same year, he won a Latin Grammy Award for Best Mexican Song for "Como lo Hice Yo," a collaboration with Matisse and producer Édgar Barrera. Carín León continued to enjoy success in 2023 with hits like "Dejenme Llorar," "Primera Cita," "Ni Me Debes Ni Te Debo," and "No Es Por Acá," which is the opening track of his third studio album, Colmillo de Leche, released in May 2023, which reached number 193 on the Top 200 Albums chart in the U.S.A.
