Don Joe

Born Luigi Florio in the small town of Bresso, Italy, on May 15, 1975, multi-platinum producer, beatmaker, and DJ, Don Joe is best-known as 1/3 of Italian rap trio Club Dogo and the CEO of record label Dogzilla Empire. He has become one of the leading figures in the Italian urban music scene. Don Joe blends ‘80s electro and Italo House with modern pop, hip-hop, soul, and rock. He began his music career as an MC for R&B singer Irene Lamedica but soon formed Club Dogo with Gue Pequeno and Jake La Furia. The trio released their debut album, Mi Fist, in 2003. Don Joe then gathered other rappers and DJs together, all of whom collaborated together as the Dogo Gang Crew. While Don Joe continued recording with Club Dogo on albums like Penna Capitale (2006), Vile Denaro (2007), Dogocrazia (2009), and Non siamo piu quelli di mi fist (2014), he also produced recordings for Cassidy, Styles P, Grand Agent, Nina B, Kool G Rap, Infamous Mobb, Serius Jones, and Gang Crew members Marracash and Vincenzo da via Anfossi. In 2011, he achieved great success with the album Thori e Rocce, a collaboration with Italian-Argentinean producer DJ Shabla. He followed that album with 2015’s Now Or Never. Don Joe released a series of Dogoinfamous mix tapes and produced recordings by many artists including Jake La Furia, Emis Killa, Fabri Fibra, Tia, Young Slash, Vegas Jones, Willie Peyote & Shaggy, and many others. Six years after the release of Now Or Never, he released the album Milan Soprano (2021), which includes the hit single “Bandito” (featuring Emis Killa, Jake La Furia, and Paky).
