Drängarna

Drängarna are a Swedish pop-rock band who play dansbandmusik, a nordic mash-up of swing, schlager, country, jazz and rock. The group got its start in 1995 and had their biggest hit quickly with the single 'Vill Du Bli Min Fru' selling 35,000 copies and helping the album 'I Afton Logdans' top 100,000 sales. The band ran into trouble when, in 2002, the Supreme Court of Sweden ruled that an eight-bar section of 'Vill Du Bli Min Fru' had been plagiarised from a song by the group Landslaget - the first such copyright case tried in Sweden. Drängarna's label Regatta was made to pay court costs and damages to Landslaget.
