D'Zrt

D'Zrt was a Portuguese pop group that formed in 2004 as part of the TV series Morangos com Açucar, comprising members Paulo Vintém, Cifrão, Edmundo Vieira, and Angélico Vieira. Their debut single, "Para Mim Tanto Me Faz," was released in late 2004, holding an impressive 33-week reign on Portuguese radio airplay charts. This was succeeded by their eponymous debut album, D'Zrt (2005), which achieved monumental success, topping the Portuguese Phonographic Association's Top 30 chart for 65 weeks and earning 19 platinum awards. The album included hit tracks such as "Querer Voltar," which has since become a signature song of the group. That same year, D'Zrt released a live album, Ao Vivo no Coliseu, leading the charts in Portugal for 34 weeks. Over the subsequent two years, the group held more than 250 live concerts. Their second studio album, Original, was released in 2006 and secured triple-platinum status. At the end of 2007, the group went on a hiatus, only to reunite in 2009 for the release of their album, Project, which debuted at the top of the Portuguese album charts. Tragically, in 2011, the group faced a devastating loss when Angélico Vieira died in a car accident at the age of 28. D'Zrt is hailed as the most successful Portuguese boy band of all time, with sales of over 500,000 copies of their five albums in Portugal.
