Evan Craft

Evan Craft made his debut with 2010's Spotlight, an album that introduced the American songwriter's bilingual brand of contemporary Christian music. A native of Conejo Valley, California, he was born on April 8, 1991, and began writing songs as a teenager. He also developed an interest in Spanish, even studying abroad as a college student. After releasing Spotlight as an independent artist, he signed with DREAM Records in 2012 and released a second record, Giants. That same year, he also released Yo Soy Segundo, a Spanish-language album that reached Number 1 on the Christian Latin Albums chart, Number 10 on Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart, and Number 30 the Latin Pop Albums chart. The record also featured fellow Christian artist Jonathan Thulin, with whom Evan Craft collaborated once again on another Latin-influenced release, Jóvenes Somos, in 2014. Sesión Orgánica: Parte 1 and Principio y Fin both followed in 2015, with Principio y Fin receiving a Dove Award nomination for "Spanish Language Album of the Year." After releasing Sesión Orgánica: Parte 2 in 2016, Craft received another Dove nomination with 2017's Impulso. Three albums — Desesperado, Tierra Santa, and Holy Ground — were released in 2021, with Desesperado earning Craft his highest-charting hit to date. "Be Alright," the album's lead single, cracked the Number 10 in multiple Christian formats, reaching Number 2 on the Hot Christian Songs chart and Number 5 on Christian Airplay. The itself was named "Spanish Language Album of the Year" at the 2021 Dove Awards, marking Craft's first time winning the award after three nominations. He capitalized on the momentum by releasing several singles in 2022, including "My One and Only" and "Fight On My Knees."
