Faydee

The Australian singer-songwriter known as Faydee was born Fady Fatrouni in 1987 in Sydney, Australia. His Lebanese parents emigrated to Australia from Tripoli and settled in Sydney. Fatrouni started his musical career in his late teens when he was signed by Buckle Up Entertainment. In conjunction with producer Divy Pota the duo created a series of singles which began to establish Fatrouni as an emerging R&B talent. One of his early singles titled 'Can't Let Go' was released in 2013 and the accompanying video has gone on to accrue over 100 million views on YouTube. A year later he had his major international breakthrough with the release of the single 'Habibi (I Need Your Love)'. Sang partly in Arabic and partly in English the track was a collaboration with the artists Shaggy, Mohombi and Costi Ionita. It sold over half a million copies and was certified gold in the USA peaking at number 20 on Billboard's Mainstream Top 40. Throughout his career Fatrouni has concentrated on singles and EPs and to date has only recorded one album titled 'Never Saw Me Coming', which he released in 2009.
