Fernando & Sorocaba

Fernando & Sorocaba are a pioneering Brazilian music duo in the Sertanejo Universitário genre. They first gained national prominence with their hit song "Bala de Prata," which was composed by Sorocaba and also lent its name to their debut album Bala de Prata (2008). Following this, their song "Madri" climbed the charts, solidifying their place in the music scene. Over the years, songs like "Paga Pau," "Veneno," "É Tenso," and "Zona de Risco" have become signature tracks for the duo. In 2010, Fernando & Sorocaba released their third album Acústico. That same year, they innovatively integrated a crane mechanism into their show, adding an element of spectacle. Two years later, in 2012 and 2014, their tours featured innovative stage elements such as the “Bolha” and the "Disco Voador," which allowed them to be even closer to their audience. Over the following years, they released albums such as Homens e Anjos (2013), Sinta Essa Experiencia (2014), and Anjo de Cabelos Longos (2015). In 2017, they celebrated their 10-year anniversary with the project Sou Do Interior, which broke new ground in sertanejo music production and was subsequently nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2019 for Best Sertanejo Album. In 2018, they released another significant project, O Chamado da Floresta, recorded in a forest in São Paulo. This album too had a special aesthetic and environmental message and featured collaborations with well-known artists like Maiara & Maraisa. In 2019, they released Isso É Churrasco, a project that celebrated the Brazilian love for barbecue. It also received a nomination in the Best Sertanejo Album category at the 2020 Latin Grammy Awards. In 2023, Fernando & Sorocaba released their EP On Fire, which featured the popular single "Cancelado."
