Biography

Classic rockers with a penchant for combining Led Zeppelin s guitar-centric bombast with the Black Crowes' Southern flavors over a healthy blues foundation, Healing Sixes broke out of Indianapolis, IN in the late ‘90s, and even counted legendary son Jason Bonham as their drummer for four years. This stretch included the group's 1999 debut album, Maple, and 2002 sophomore Enormosound, which was overseen by famed producer Kevin Shirley (Aerosmith, Iron Maiden, Black Crowes, Rush, Bon Jovi, etc.) and boasted cover art designed by Hipgnosis icon Storm Thorgerson. After Bonham's departure, Healing Sixes was next heard from via 2006's One Less Friend to Ignore LP, and continued to shuffle its lineup before settling on Doug Henthorn (vocals, guitar), Eric Saylors (guitar, vocals), Jeff Stone (bass, vocals) and Wade Parish, (drums, vocals), just prior to recording 2010's Blue Jay, their fourth album. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
